A Case of Neurilemmoma of the Tongue

Abstract
The neurilemmomas, originated from sheath of Schwann cells, are characteristically benign, solitary and encapsulated, which may occur at any age along. any kinds of the, peripheral nerve courses and have shown no sexual and locational preponderance, however, usually occur in Acoustic nerve known as Acoustic neuroma.
There are no reported cases that occurred primarily in Olfactory nerve, Optic nerve and the. glial portion of the brain and the spinal cord itself. This tumor has not shown metastasis, and is very, radioresistant.
We have recently experienced a case of neurilemmoma of the tongue base on the right side. The patient was a 19-year-old high-school girl who had noticed incidentally a mass on the base of the tongue herself without any specific symptoms
The tumor was completely enucleated¢¥ with peroral route under the endotracheal general anesthesia and was varified histopathologically as neurilemmoma of the tongue.
